Ardyth Lovejoy "Joy" Zolman, 92, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023. She was born on April 16, 1930, in Fort Wayne, the daughter of the late Fred and Grace (Wahls) Blum. Joy received her nursing education at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne and worked many places over her lifetime as a Registered Nurse. She was a nurse for Dr. James Wyatt, Dr. Richard Connelly, the Arata Medical Group, and for Summit Weight Control. She retired in 1992. Joy was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She drove the school bus for Holy Cross Lutheran School and was also a Girl Scout leader there. Surviving family include her daughter, Kathi and son-in-law, Tom Gilland; and grandchildren, Kaitlyn Gilland and husband, Michael DelBello and Emily and Jasen Kingsley; and lots of nieces and nephews that she treasured and loved dearly. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James W. Zolman in 2008; and her son, Michael James Zolman in 1979. Siblings, Albert Blum, Richard Blum, and Fred Blum are also deceased. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
