Anthony C. Lopata

Anthony “Tony” C. Lopata, 73, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Majestic Care – West Allen. He was born on July 13, 1949 to the late Stan and Betty (Kulczyk) Lopata in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Lopata served in the Marine Corp Reserves. On June 2, 1979, he married Patricia Tierney in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Anthony worked as an Underwriter for several different insurance companies. Tony enjoyed playing golf, reading thriller novels, a good cup of coffee, taking trips and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed Civil War History, Notre Dame Football, and the Philadelphia Phillies. He was a proud American, and especially proud to serve his country. Mr. Lopata is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia “Pat” Lopata; Children, Stephanie (Brian) Ford, Heather (Adrian) Bowser, and Tim Lopata; grandchildren, Maddie Ford and Finley Ford; and siblings, Joann (Charlie) Sarver, Mary Terese Lopata, Carol (Lenny) Chornock, Greg (Karen) Lopata, and Matt (Pam) Lopata. Also preceding him in death were a son, Patrick Lopata; and a brother, Tom Lopata. A Memorial Service will be Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 6 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Calling will be two hours before the service.
