ANNABELLE J. BENNETT, 98, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, June 18, 2017. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Veda Haines. Annabelle graduated from South Side High School in 1937, and went on to work at G.E. for 15 years. She later worked at the Fort Wayne Public Library until retirement which allowed her and Dale to winter in Florida. Pinochle was her passion, but if you had a deck of cards, she would play whatever game you wanted.
Surviving are her son, Bruce A. (Judy) Bennett of Fort Wayne; daughter, Pamela S. (Rusty) Weyand of Canton, Mich.; son-in-law, Wayne Boltz of Garrett; grandchildren, Matt Bennett of Fort Wayne, Nicole Czarnomski of Milwaukie, Ore., Casey Czarnomski of Springfield, Ore., Brittany Czarnomski of Portland, Ore.; and step-grandchildren, Michael Boltz of Garrett, David Boltz of Garrett, Beth Ann Ousley of Syracuse; and six great-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Dale Bennett; and stepdaughter, Julia Boltz.
Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2017, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6450 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Family will also receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017, at the funeral home.
