Anna May Gillette, 86, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Anderson, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Kingston Care Center of Fort Wayne. She was born in Detroit, MI on May 7, 1935 to the late George Zanley and Mary Anna (Lula) Stanley. Anna May worked as an Administrator at Southdale Tower in Anderson, retiring in 2005. She loved art, reading, classical music, flowers, poetry, science fiction, and home decorating. She had a dry sense of humor and a quick wit. Anna May loved her children and grandchildren.
She was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Anderson and belonged to Grace Episcopal Church in Fort Wayne. Her survivors include her daughters, Julieanne “Julie” (Jerry) Diehl of Fort Wayne and Renee (Brian) Rupley of Greenfield; son, Rob (Lisa) Gillette of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Jared Andrews, Taylor (Brian) Wanta, Erin (Natalia) Gillette, Sydney Bunch, Jordan Rupley, Hadley Bunch, and Alex Rupley; brother, Tim (Kathy) Stanley of Copemish, MI; and her beloved dog, Bonnie.
Preceding her in death are two brothers and one sister. Funeral Services will be Friday, August 27, 2021 at 4PM with Calling from 1 to 4PM at D.O.
