Ann Morris Werbe Wallace, 71, of Fort Wayne and long time resident of Indianapolis, died Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital. She was born August 31, 1941, in Indianapolis, IN. Her family originally built the historic Morris-Butler House in downtown Indianapolis. She attended Emma Willard School in Troy, NY and was a graduate of Mount Vernon College for Women in Washington, D.C. Her great loves included bird watching, gardening, needlepoint, the Indianapolis Colts and her dogs, Sugar and Shadow. She was a member and past president of The Indianapolis Garden Club, and a member of The Dramatic Club of Indianapolis, The Progressive Club, and Christamore House Guild. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Wallace (Todd) Rumsey, and their children, Peter, Ann and Mary; son, Timothy Haines (Melissa) Wallace, and their children, Nathaniel and Michael; son, Michael “Boomer” (Katherine) Wallace, and their children, William, Sophie and Charles; and two brothers, Thomas Chandler Werbe, III and Daniel Stewart Werbe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Chandler (Barbara Haines) Werbe Jr. and sister Eleanor Werbe Krauss. A memorial service is planned for November 10, 2012, at 11 am at the Peace Chapel at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis. The family will greet friends the hour prior to her service.
