Allan O. White, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away on September 25, 2015. Born on January 30, 1926, in Payne, Ohio, he was a son of the late Oliver and Ora White, he served his country in the Army, was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne and retired in 1989 from Magnavox as an Office Service Manager after 39 years of service.
He is survived by his daughters, Lynda Heavrin and Nancy Elkins; dear friend, Marcille Burtch; grandchildren, Melissa, Tiffany and Jason; great-grandchildren, Mercedes, Cody and Zoie; sister, Marianne Slemker. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rachael (Brown) White; and brother James White.
Funeral service will be 11am Friday October 9, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 West Jefferson Blvd, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Thursday October 8, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne or to Visiting Nurse, Fort Wayne.
