Alice Faye Davis, 71, of Fort Wayne, passed into eternity to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 10, 2015. Faye was born and raised in Pikeville, KY, the daughter of the late Walter and Orpha Thacker. She lived in Ft. Wayne since 1961 and retired from Mattel as the human resource manager in 1999. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and a member of First Assembly of God Church for 52 years. Mama Faye as she was affectionately called, was known for her generosity, love, and wonderful sense of humor. She was the spiritual matriarch of her extended family and all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 53 years James Davis of Ft. Wayne, daughter Sheila (Keith) Weldy of Peyton, CO, son Michael (Julie) Davis of Paola, KS; her brother Bob (Betty) Thacker of Herndon, VA, brother William (Deborah) Thacker of Pikeville, KY, Sisters Pauline (Ward) Craft and Nancy Craft of Ft. Wayne, and Sue Wright of New Haven, IN. Grammie Faye also leaves behind 8 grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She was also preceded in death by her sister Mary Williamson of Wyandotte, MI, and her sister Norma Hunt of Haines City, FL; and brother-in-law, Mike Craft. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday December 14, at First Assembly of God Church, 1400 W. Washington Center Rd., Ft. Wayne, with calling one hour prior; Pastor Ron Hawkins officiating. Calling for family and friends will be from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, Sunday December 13, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home 6131 St. Joe Rd., Ft. Wayne.
