Aldena "Dee" Marie Avery, age 69, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at her home. She was born June 10, 1955 in Fort Wayne to the late Jack and Violet Marie (née Hart) Brunkhart, Sr. Dee attended Snider High School and dedicated 26 years to Acro Products prior to her retirement in 2004.
She had many passions and interests over her life including thrifting at Goodwill, garage saleing, attending the demolition derbies, playing volleyball, family reunions, landscaping, flower gardening, watching soap operas and reality TV programs but cherished time spent with family the most.
Dee is survived by her loving and devoted children, Dawn King, Josh Avery, Shaunda (Kyle) Hamrick, and Ryan Avery; her companion's children, Clarence (Rachel) Baysinger, and Annette (Charles) Noble; grandchildren, Christian Avery, Lily Avery, Audrianna King, Jensen Avery, Makenna Avery, Kaylee King, Ariella Hamrick, Kenzie Hamrick, Emma Hamrick, and Kyle Hamrick Jr., companions grandchildren, Victor Wayne Angulo, Brittany Pearson, Abby Roeder, and Weston Baysinger; her companion's eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Steven (Diana) Brunkhart; sister-in-law, Trudy Brunkhart; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Avery; son, Shane Avery; brother, Jack Brunkhart,Jr.; sister, Susan (Herb) Shanyfelt; and longtime companion, Wayne Baysinger.
Funeral Service is 1 PM, Saturday, April 12, 2025 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park 1140 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne with calling two hours prior. Interment at Scipio Cemetery, Harlan, Indiana.
