Albert L. Bergdall

Albert L. Bergdall, 93, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born in Hoagland on November 26, 1916 to the late Joseph Russell and Neddie (Sites) Bergdall. He was a co-owner of Earth, Inc., Commercial Excavating, Inc. and Land and New Development, Inc. He was owner of Hamilton House Restaurant and Bergdall Construction. Mr. Bergdall was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Barbara (Spangle) Bergdall of Ft. Wayne, his son; Russell Bergdall of Monroeville, step children; Michelle Soderberg of Phoenix, AZ, Michael Spangle of Indianapolis, Matthew Spangle of Greenwood, Billi Briones, and Kathy Karol of Lafayette, CA; his sister, Mary Lepper of Ft. Wayne; fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Linda Ross, his siblings Glen Bergdall, Golda Shaw, William Bergdall and Austin Bergdall. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, July 12, 2010, with one hour of visitation prior to service, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Ft. Wayne with services to conclude at the funeral home. Visitation will be 2-5 PM, Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Seventh Day Adventist Church.
