Alana’s work life included home healthcare services and several years of a cross country courier driver. In her pastime, she enjoyed traveling, thrift shopping, and bingo.
Surviving family members include her children, Lora Spicer; son in-law, Adrian Crook; son, Ormey “OJ” Douglas Jr; granddaughter, Ashley Spicer; grandson, Xavier Thomas; great grandchildren, Israel Kali Burks, Karissa Thomas, and Hymn Sol Spicer; sister, Kay Spicer; several nieces and nephews; and companion, William “Bill” Miller.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice (Thurman) Spicer; father, William Spicer; brothers, Paul Mowery, Jerry Mowery, and William “Billy” Spicer Jr. ; sisters, Betty Brunner, Barbara (Mowery)(Hollinger) Harting and Joyce Wheeler.
Cremation has taken place, and as per her wishes, there will be no services.
A private scattering of ashes and celebration of life will take place at a later date.
