Alan R. Oser, 53, passed away peacefully, February 19, 2018 at his home in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN., to the late Donald A. and Elizabeth J. Oser. Alan graduated from Bishop Luers High School in 1985 and earned a degree in culinary arts from Vincennes University. He was the former owner of the Beacon Restaurant in Syracuse, IN. He enjoyed woodworking, music and was an avid collector. Surviving are his children Benjamin David Oser, Jacob Alan Oser , Zoe Nicole Oser all of Fort Wayne, IN., Tucker Wayne McClure of Roanoke, IN.; 2 grandchildren, Opal and Oliver Oser and a brother, Donald Oser of Fort Wayne, IN. Alan was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Joseph L. and Gene Oser. Service is at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Mungovan Simple Funeral Home, 2114 South Calhoun Street, with calling one hour prior. Calling also Monday, February 26, 2018, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Serenity House in Auburn, IN.
