Yvonne "Mickey" Jarrell, 92, of Fort Smith, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Covington Court Health and Rehabilitation under the care of Peachtree Hospice after a very long battle with Dementia. She was born March 12, 1926 in Minot, North Dakota to the late George and Helen Dobay. She grew up in Grand Forks, ND. Mickey met Jack Jarrell while he was stationed at Grand Forks, ND. Mickey and her husband Jack were retired owners of Jack’s Skateland Skating Rink. Her husband of 64 years, Jack Jarrell; and her daughter, Pat Napolitano preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Monday at the Pavilion at U.S. National Cemetery with burial to follow both under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by sons, Terry Jarrell and his wife Hilda of Fort Smith, Bobby Jarrell and wife Teresa of Fort Smith and Bill Jarrell and wife Debbie of Fort Smith; her grandchildren, Todd Swanson, Terri Hanna and husband Stacy, Mike Jarrell, Kim Batt and husband Mark, Kelly Sanders and husband Brian, Justin Jarrell and wife Samantha, Valerie Hansen and husband Scott; and her great grandchildren, Brooklyn Jarrell, Abbigail and Jakob Hanna, Kaydence and Macy Batt, Maggie and Sally Sanders, Jack and Madeline Jarrell and Cort Hansen.
The family will visit with friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
Family would like to thank Covington Court Health and Rehabilitation Center, Peachtree Hospice, Sparks Senior Care, Fianna Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Paris Health and Rehabilitation Center, Visiting Angels, and Mercy Clinic in Fianna Hills (formerly Cooper Clinic at Fianna Hills) for taking such great care of her.
