Wilma Beatrice Hamilton

Wilma B. Hamilton, 86, of Fort Smith on this day June 4, 2011, went to be with her maker to discuss further her feelings for the Father and to check on her mother, father, and siblings. Born March 8, 1925, she was the last of a generation of Morris brothers and sisters that she protected, nurtured, refereed.

She is survived by one son, Charles Oxford, and his wife, Suzanne Stair, of Sherwood, AR; two grandsons, Chris Oxford and his wife, Robyn, of Waterloo, IN., Jeremy Oxford of Fort Smith, two great grandsons, Reese Oxford, and Spencer Oxford of Waterloo, IN; sisters-in-laws Bobbi Tankersley of CA., Lera Morris, of Clarksville, AR., and Betty Ruth Morris of Fort Smith; nieces Annette Hilton of Clarksville, Mary Sears of Clarksville, Ardith Morris of Clarksville, Wanda Jewell Davis of OK., Donita Hudspeth of OK., Teri Hudspeth of OK., Tami Hudspeth of OK., Rhonda Tankersley Scott of NV., Vicki Saunders-Kelley of GA., Sandy Saunders of OR., ; nephews, Don Morris of N.C., Jimmy Morris of Conway, Stephen Morris of FL., Robert Morris of Rogers, John Morgan Morris of CA., David Morris of Clarksville, Dan Hudspeth of FL.; many loving neighbors, Glenda Mulhern, Alice Vege, Mary Hatfield, and very special friends, Liz and Tim Humphreys.

She was predeceased in death by her parents, John Morgan and Florence Hevron Morris; five brothers, Howell Morris, James Morris, F. L. “Windy” Morris, Robert Morris, John W. “Doodle” Morris; and two sisters, Mary Armstrong, and Gwen Kemper, and two husbands, Luther Oxford and Earnest Hamilton.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 12:00 noon in the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5-7 PM
