William “Bill” Nelson Moreland, 72, of Fort Smith, passed from this life Jan 8, 2018 in Fort Smith. He was born, November 2, 1945, in Texarkana, Texas to the late Earl Wesley and Lula Chambliss Moreland.
He is survived by two daughters, Leslie Purcell and her husband Shon of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Shannon Carroll and her husband Jason of Springdale, Arkansas; one brother, John Wesley Moreland of Fort Smith; his five grandchildren, Colin, Connor and Cooper Purcell, and Brice and Reid Carroll, as well as his nieces, Marlowe Dean and Kristin Rains. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Jackie and Tommy Moreland.
The family will hold a visitation and remembrance from 1:00to 3:00pm Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Edwards Funeral Home. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Funeral home.
