Wayne “Mace” Lovett born on November 20, 1942, in Roseville Arkansas, peacefully passed away at the age of 81 on June 30, 2024, in Conway Arkansas. He was welcomed into heaven by his mother Olive Coffman and his brother Jerry Lovett. Wayne will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
Wayne’s passions brought joy not only to him, but also enriched the lives of those around him. Wayne was an accomplished pilot who was a member of the EEA Chapter 1590 pilot organization based in Morrilton, Arkansas. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and golfing with his buddies. He was an excellent cook, known for his chicken & dumplings and amazing pies. He appreciated a good western movie, telling stories and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a member of the Woodland Heights Baptist Church and the Faulkner County Master Gardeners. Through the years Wayne owned and operated many restaurants. Later in life, he shifted careers to become a licensed real estate appraiser in which he worked for over 20 years.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife Nancy, his daughters Tish (Mark) Gianopulos & Leslie (Dave) LeVan, grandchildren Tyler (Steph), Anna (William), Stephen & Rachel. His sister Shirley Sheffield & brother Robert (Linda) Coffman, former wife Georgia Crawford Wilson and many nieces and nephews. Nancy’s children John Whiting, Michael Whiting, Stan (Angela) Staton, Jennifer (David) Bunch, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Wayne’s legacy will be remembered as a man of many talents and a creator of joyful memories. He was deeply loved and will be forever remembered.

Visitation will be held at 2:00pm followed by the service at 3:00 on Friday, July 5 at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N 12th Street, Ft. Smith. Burial will be held immediately following the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 4211 State Line Rd, Ft. Smith.
