He was born in Fort Smith, AR to Perthenia Kane Buchanan and Thomas Marion Buchanan Sr. Tom, also affectionately known as Chop Chop to his school mates, was an avid lover of the NHRA and helping build race cars. He also had a deep love for his granddog, Shadow.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Perthenia Kane Buchanan and Thomas Marion Buchanan Sr.
Survivors include Tom’s sister, Ann Buchanan Echols of Fort Smith, AR; daughters Denalyn Gleason, and Teri Rauls; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; many friends and his lifelong special friend, Larry. He will be missed dearly.
A private burial will be held at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
