Tammy Jean Evans Clifton

Tammy Jean Evans Clifton, 42, of Roland, OK, passed away April 28, 2013 in Fort Smith. Tammy was born October 26, 1970 in Fort Smith to Jack and Linda (Robertson) Evans. She was a homemaker and was active in the Sebastian County Softball Association. She was a member of the Swingers Softball team from 1978-1982 and she was a 1988 graduate of Southside High School. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, R.L. Robertson and Ernest Evans. She is survived by her husband, Mark Clifton of Roland, OK; her mother, Linda Arbogast and her husband Chuck of Panama City, FL; her father, Jack Evans and his wife Glenda of Fort Smith; two sisters, Tonda Shaw of Fort Smith and Brandy Medenes of Barling, AR; paternal grandmothers, Lanette Blythe of Oklahoma City, OK and Helen Evans of Muskogee, OK; maternal grandmother, Lelia Robertson of Fort Smith; one step-sister, Lisa Grant of Chesnee, SC; two step-brothers, Jimmy and Clinton Arbogast, both of Chesnee, SC; her mother-in-law, Betty Clifton of Roland, OK; one niece, Ashley Yeary of Fort Smith; and one nephew, Seth Shaw of Fort Smith. She is also survived by her five beloved Basset Hounds. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Friday, May 3, 2013, in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Kevin Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be: Charles Guthrie, Richard Gage, Brandon Efurd, Russell Shaw, Troy Harmon, George Williams, and Truman Yeary. Visitation will be Thursday, May 2, 2013, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
