Russell LeRoy Thurman, 98 of Talihina, OK formerly of Ft. Smith, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 in Talihina, OK. He was born January 1, 1920 in Enid, OK to the late Roy and Laura Thurman. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ft. Smith, an Army Veteran of WWII, and a former district manager for Pittsburgh Paints. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Marjorie Thurman.
Private Graveside service will be at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
Russell is survived by his son; Dennis Thurman, two grandchildren; Chad Thurman of Fayetteville, and Courtney Hardcastle of Ft. Smith, his great grandson, Henry Thurman, and his sister; Laura Mae Collins of Springdale.
