He thought of his two Brothers-in-law as his actual brothers: Burl Thomas House and his wife Dixie Carol (Stuettgen) House and Daniel “Danny” Hugh House and his wife Judy (Devall) House.
Keith was born on December 5, 1933, in Kansas City, Missouri, and adopted, along with his sister Bette Louise Larson, by his loving parents Leonard A. and Mae E. Larson in 1942 in Lake County, Illinois.
While serving in the US Army (1954-1956) at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas, Keith met Janet House. He spotted her and introduced himself at a High School football game, after previously seeing her singing in a local church choir. They began dating and were married in 1958. They welcomed son, John Robert in 1962, and daughters, Linda Kathleen in 1968 and Melissa Kay in 1970. Keith and Janet were soulmates for over 66 years and celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary in June of 2022.
In 2018, Keith was blessed to become acquainted with some of his long missing natural siblings: Paul John Brotzman and his wife Sandra, Ruth Ann (Brotzman) Price, Mary Jean (Raven) Hawkins, and William Daniel Raven.
Keith achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in business from the University of Tulsa and made a successful career working for Sears, Roebuck and Co. for over 30 years. He dedicated the rest of his time being a great Father to his three children and their families. One of “Grandpa’s” most treasured joys was being a fun and loving grandfather. He also spent his retirement years volunteering at charitable organizations such as Network and served as a local Crime Watch Patrol member.
Keith will be laid to rest adjacent to his favorite in-laws, John Burl and Oleta (Campbell) House, at New Cemetery of Mulberry in Mulberry, Arkansas. This will be followed by a Memorial Service at First United Methodist Church in Richardson, Texas on March 27th at 4PM. Flowers and condolences can be sent to First United Methodist Church Richardson.
