Robert E. Braden

Robert E. Braden, 73, of Fort Smith, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011, in Fort Smith. He was born October 16, 1937 in Okmulgee, OK to the late Charles M. Braden, Sr. and Anna Marie Green Braden. He was retired Electrical Engineer from International Telephone and Telegraph. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Father Jon McDougal officiating. Burial will be at Fort Smith National Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

He is survived by two daughters Susan Goerner of Montague, NJ and Kristin Ciavarro of Hunterdon County, NJ, one son Jeff Braden of Branchville, NJ, two sisters Shirley White of Fort Smith, AR and Nancy Gramlich of Van Buren, AR, one brother Charles M. Braden, Jr. of Fairborn, OH, seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

The family will visit with friends Monday evening, May 2, 2011, from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
