Paul F. Benson Jr.

Paul was a 1964 graduate of Northside High School and graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War in 1970. After Military Service, he joined Superior Federal Savings and Loan and retired from Simmons Bank after 40+ years in the business. While at Simmons Bank, he was a Regional Manager and Loan Officer. Paul was an avid golfer and loved bass fishing. He was a past President of the Fort Smith Bass Club.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday at U.S. National Cemetery Pavilion with burial to follow with Military Honors both under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Paul is survived by two sons, Mark (Stacy) of Luray, VA and Matthew (Maggie) of Fayetteville; and his brother, David of Fort Smith.

The family will visit with friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
