Nancy Dover

Nancy Russell Dover, 85, passed away October 2, 2023 at Heart of Hospice with her daughter at her bedside. She was born September 14, 1938 in Fort Smith to the late Truss Russell and Kathryn (Crawford) Russell. Nancy was a longtime English Professor at Westark Community College.

During her life. She was a long time member of both First Presbyterian Church and First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed miniature roses, reading, and puzzles. She loved cats and enjoyed playing games with her friends at Hope’s Creek Retirement Living in Van Buren where she spent the last several years of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim L. Dover; and her step-daughter, Miah Gustafson.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Sally Israel and husband Shawn; Step-son Mark Dover and his wife Anne; five grandchildren, Kathryn Israel, Stephen Israel, and Nash Israel, Tyler Dover and Travis Dover.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with private family burial at Roselawn Cemetery.
