Mary Lynn Hendricks Lawler, age 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Born to John Paul Hendricks and Gwyndolyn Randall Hendricks, she was raised in Fort Smith before moving to St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri. She was active in her communities, serving on the Rockhurst College Library Guild and the Junior League of Kansas City. She worked as the Director of Development at Visitation Church and ran a successful catering business for many years. She had a gift for entertaining and making everyone feel special and loved. She took great pride and joy in her grandchildren, who called her Doll, and cherished spending special occasions together, especially their beloved week each summer in Pawley’s Island, SC.
Mary Lynn is survived by her beloved daughters and their families, Colleen and Tom Mudlaff, William, Henry and Elizabeth, and Meggan and Joe Needham, Margaret, Adeline and Jack, as well as two sisters Gwyn Ellen Johnson and Betsy Walters. She will be dearly missed by her extended family and cherished friends.
A rosary will begin at 12:30 pm with the mass of the resurrection following at 1 pm on Friday, November 12 at Immaculate Conception Church in Fort Smith with a private burial immediately following at Calvary Cemetery. The funeral will be livestreamed on the Immaculate Conception Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church.
