Mary Beth Hoffsommer, 79, of Barling, Arkansas, passed from this life April 21, 2021 in Barling. She was born May 17, 1941, in Clarksville, Arkansas, to Robert and Maxie Warren Gray. A lifelong member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Mary Beth was active in several programs supported by the church such as The Sack Lunch Program and the Buck A Book Room. Mary Beth was an active member of the choir, not only at St. John’s but also Christ the King Catholic Church. She retired, after 34 years of service, as a Medical Transcriptionist, from Sparks Regional Medical Center. She then took a few days off, and was right back to work, for the next 13 years, having the same responsibilities with Mercy Hospital.
Mary Beth is survived by her daughter Mary Shannon Jennings and her husband Ken of San Antonio, Texas, and their children Grayson, Landon and Malia; her son Chris Hoffsommer and his wife Heather of Van Buren, and their children Bailey, Ashleigh, Dakota and Brooke; and her brother Robert Gray and his wife Patti of Barling. She was preceded in death by her parents.
