Mary J. Bowling

Mary J. Bowling, 94, passed away July 21, 2015 in Fort Smith. She was born December 18, 1920 in Altus, AR to Frank Kramer and Anna Glanzman Kramer. Mary was retired from Dixie Cup and was the former owner of the Oasis Bar in Fort Smith. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, and was a former member of Catholic Daughters of Americas, the UCT Auxiliary, Belle Point Quilters, and the Women’s League of Voters. Mary enjoyed traveling, and she enjoyed cooking for anyone in need.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Schwartz and Duard Bowling.

She is survived by her step-daughter, Karen Griffin of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Lisa Huckelbury and Greg Griffin, both of Fort Smith; four great-grandchildren, Jessica and Jack Griffin, and Ayden and Griffin Huckelbury. Mary is also survived by several nieces and nephews including her special niece, Nancy Scherrey.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM Friday, July 24, 2015 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 9:00 AM Saturday, July 25, 2015, at St. Boniface Catholic Church with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
