Marilyn Faye Newman, 77, of Van Buren, AR, passed away on August 7, 2021. She was born on October 3, 1943 in Springfield, Ohio to Lewis J. Sparks and Virgie Lee Gordon Sparks. Marilyn was a long-time, faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a master seamstress, a wonderful gardener, patient fisherman and avid bird watcher. Marilyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Ginger Belmont.
Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, James Newman of the home; one daughter, Wendy Elizabeth Newman of Hahira, GA; three sons, Jim Newman (Katie) of Radford, VA, Jeff Newman (Melanie) of Hot Springs and Michael Newman (Jenny) of Fort Smith; ten grandchildren, Logan and wife Hailey, Adri, Annabella, Evan, Will, Carsyn, James, Joseph, Nash and Murphy; one great grandchild, Kaden; one sister, Sharon Coan of Granbury, TX; two brothers, David Sparks (Mary) of Kingsport, TN, Lewis Sparks of Fort Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Immaculate Conception Ladies Auxiliary.
