Margaret A. Newman

Margaret A. Newman, age 92 of Ft. Smith passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011. She was born October 20, 1918 in Morrison Bluff, AR to the late Louis and Mary Siebenmorgen. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church for more than 58 years. She was a past member of Christ the King Church Choir, a Sacristan and Eucharist Minister. She was a member of the Presentation Circle and a graduate of Droughon’s Business College. She was a Bookkeeper at the Logan County Bank in Scranton, AR and retired from Hunt’s Department Store in Fort Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome Newman, and two brothers Martin and Gilbert Siebenmorgen.

Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM Friday, June 17, 2011 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 9:00 AM Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.

She is survived by two sisters: Pauline Boerner and Jane Sparkman both of Fort Smith, three brothers Andrew Siebenmorgen of Morrison Bluff, AR David Siebenmorgen of Houston, TX, and Tom Siebenmorgen of Scranton, AR. Margaret is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Donnie and Ronnie Siebenmorgen, John Boerner, Gene Sparkman, Mike and Tom Newman.
