Loy Johnson, 75, of Arkoma, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022. He was born on June 1, 1947 in Fredonia, Texas to the late O’Neal and Mable (Turner) Johnson. Loy was retired from Equipsource, LLC. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Arkoma. Loy loved God. He was a very loving father and husband, he loved taking his kids fishing and camping. He was very skilled with his hands and enjoyed working on his home. In addition to his parents, Loy is preceded in death by a sister, Cathy West, and two brothers, Gene and Kenneth Johnson.
There will be a memorial service held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Arkoma. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Moore Johnson, of the home; a daughter, Jeanna Johnson (Seth Garland) of Denver, Colorado; a step-daughter, Marian Jackson (Stephen) of Oklahoma City; a son, Ronnie Johnson (Tasha) of Longmont, Colorado; a step-son, Billy Moore (Misty) of Arkoma; six sisters, Betty Gunter (Tony) of Muldrow, Oklahoma Brenda Honeycutt (Frank) of Altus, Arkansas, Helen Arvelo (Daniel) of Nicut, Oklahoma, Anna Randolph, Mary King and Marcie Johnson, all of Texas; an uncle, George Turner (Nadine) of Mulberry, Arkansas along with 33 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
