Lois Hogan Skaggs, 88, of Rogers, formerly of Fort Smith, died December 4, 2010 in Springdale, AR. She was born July 23, 1922 to Mack and Daisy Toney Hogan. She was a Homemaker and member of the Grand Avenue Baptist Church of Fort Smith and the VFW.
She was an amazing gift, and we are so thankful that we got to share her with those that were a part of her life
She is survived by three daughters, Helen Crist Moore of Newton, TX., Linda C. Skaggs of Rogers, AR, and Monica F. Skaggs Weyer and husband Charles Weyer of Rogers, AR; four sisters, Betty Silver of North Carolina, Bea Moore of Texas, Mary Dipuman of Louisiana, and Brenda Jefferson of Texas; four brothers, Wilburn Hogan of Kirbyville, TX, Frank Hogan of Newton, TX., Mack Hogan of Mauriceville, TX., and Ira Hogan of Jasper, TX; and four grandchildren, Terri Moore Dear and husband Frank of Conroe, TX., Gregory Glen Moore of Newton, TX., Jonathan A. Weyer and David C. Weyer both of Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband Preston Bid Skaggs; and two brothers, Fred Hogan and Don Hogan.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12:00-1:00 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
