Lloyd Eugene Riggs

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rose Marie Riggs; children, Stephen Michael, Caitlin Elizabeth and David Matthew Riggs; daughter-in-law, Erica Riggs; and four beloved grandchildren, Kiley, Makala and Braxtyn Riggs, and Madelyn Landin; as well as his brothers, Thomas and Jerry Riggs (wife, Jo Ann); mother-in-law, Mary Hurst; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Hurst, Tammy Cline (husband, Jack) and Mary Jo Honeycutt (husband, Marvin) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lloyd was born in Fort Smith on January 8, 1956, to parents, Lloyd Lee Riggs (deceased) and Violet Jeanette Riggs. He is predeceased by a sister, Dinah Riggs. He was an employee of Whirlpool in Fort Smith for 36 years, educating and working himself up from the plant floor to the engineering offices as a respected data analyst. Following his retirement from Whirlpool, he continued to work, as an IT technician at Movie Lounge in Fort Smith. During the course of his illness, he continued to work from home as a consultant for Whirlpool, and took great pride in contributing to the support and assistance of his family even while ill. He was a kind, generous and loving man who is sorely missed by his family and friends.

Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home.
