Linda Sue Edwards

Linda was born on June 29, 1943 in Fort Smith, Arkansas and was a lifelong area resident. She worked at Thriftway Grocery, Harps and Price-Cutter. She was an avid reader and frequented her local library regularly.

She is survived by three daughters, Christy Powdrill, Fort Smith; Janet Davis, Van Buren; and Melinda Scamardo, Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Shawna Hawkins-Jaggers, Tulsa, OK; Christopher Jamel Hawkins, Sapulpa, OK and two great grandchildren, Jace Hawkins and Bryce Cusick, Kellyville, OK; three brothers David Edwards (Carol), Fort Smith, Harold Edwards (Donna), Fort Smith and Jimmy Edwards, Mulberry; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, James (Dink) and Dorothy (Dot) Edwards; and her sister, Deborah Peters.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Edwards Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, September 8 at the funeral home.
