Larry Charles Womack, Sr., 74, of Scranton, Arkansas, passed from this life, March 29, 2013, surrounded by the loves of his life – Linda, his only wife and mother of his children; his son Larry and daughters, Jennifer, Suzanne and Natalie; and many of his grandchildren. A respected Fort Smith business owner for over 30 years, he was a mechanic, retired from Womack & Son Front End Service. Known as the cleanest mechanic in Fort Smith, he was always in a white shirt with a shop rag in his hand. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Private family graveside service and burial will be at Barling City Cemetery. He is survived by his son, Larry Womack, Jr. and his friend Prudence; three daughters, Jennifer Boyd and her husband, William; Suzanne Kellogg and her husband Dale; and Natalie Dawn Rye; ten grandchildren; one great-grandson; and two adopted children, Ellen Parsons and Perry Turner. Pallbearers will be his grandsons Larry Womack, III, Jacob Talkington, Will Boyd, Joshua Rye, Dusty Kellogg, Daniel Kellogg and Tyler Womack; and longtime friend Roy Mauldin.
