Lacy Hunter, 79, of Muldrow, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. She was born on April 17. 1944 to the late Dewey and Mary Bell Harrison Evans. Lacy was retired from the Arkansas State Driver Control, where she worked as an administrative assistant. Lacy also had worked for the Department of Human Services, Arkansas State Oil and Gas Commission and the Arkansas State Rehabilitation Services. She was a member of Vision of the Way Fellowship in Roland. She was a loving wife and mother. In addition to her parents, Lacy is preceded in death by her sister, Ann Henry and two brothers, Coy “Spooky” Evans and Troy Evans.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Hunter, of the home; daughter, Patty Glanton and her husband Jeff, of Van Buren; step-daughter, Beverly Geren and her husband Craig, of Muldrow; step-son, Ricky Hunter and his wife April, of Liberty, OK, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 North 12th Street, Fort Smith.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Allen, Larry Allen, Donald Nolan, Wayne McDonald, Craig Geren, and Edwin Ogdon.
