Katherine Louise Route, 86, of Van Buren passed from this life February 24, 2020 in Van Buren. She was born March 18, 1933, in Subiaco, Arkansas, to the late Claude and Arlie May Bynum. Katherine spent most of her working years at Midland Bowl and Quality Childcare. She volunteered in the food pantry Heritage United Methodist Church in Van Buren. There was nothing more important to Katherine than her family.
Katherine is survived by her children, Linda Blythe of Barling, Arkansas, Paul Route and his wife Vicki of Vian, Oklahoma, Theresa and her husband Gary Warner of Van Buren, Arkansas and Rod Route and his wife Candi of Fort Smith, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul W. Route; and two sisters, Mildred Hansard and Dorothy McLarty.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with entombment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm Friday, February 28, 2020 at Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be David Warner, Rod Route, James Madison, Kayne Madison, DaQuan Madison, Ty Slate, Josh Route and Brent Neely.
