Julia A. Mitchell

Julia Ann Mitchell, 82, of Fort Smith, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 in Fort Smith. She was born June 12, 1935 in Heavener, Oklahoma to Cheedle O. and Ocie E. Ollar Millard. Julia was a retired insurance clerk for Dr. M.L. Poole, a homemaker, and member of both Midland Heights United Methodist Church and Wesley United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, James H. “Jamie” and wife Patty Mitchell of Fort Smith and Christopher K. and wife Laurie Mitchell of Vianna, VA; and daughter in law, Cheryl Mitchell of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, Travis Mitchell, Sarah Mitchell, Rachel Mitchell, Leah Mitchell, and Ben Mitchell; and five great grandchildren. Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Mitchell; son, David Kenneth Mitchell; sister, Susan Cia; brother, Dr. C.W. Millard; and grandson, Clinton Keith Mitchell.

Funeral service will be Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Roselawn Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Cook, Travis Mitchell, Ben Mitchell, Randy Amon, Andy Amon, and David Millard.

The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM.
