Josie McLaughlin, 97, passed away December 21, 2011. She was born August 21, 1914 in Fort Smith to Joe and Vada Edmon Reichert. At age 16 she completed Beauty School and she was a worked as a hairdresser until the age of 95. She was a charter member of Southside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by, her husband Claud; her daughter, Claudena Farrar; her brothers, Jessie, Buddy, and Bill, Reichert; her sisters, Dutch Cotton, and Rosemary Logemann.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Shelley Farrar of Fort Smith; two sisters, Betty Sturm of Alma and Delores Ray of Roland, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Monday December 26, 2011, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
