Josephine "Mickie" White

Josephine “Mickie” White 89, of Fort Smith, passed from this life on November 12, 2020. She was born on July 19, 1931 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Orville Nichols and Iva Mathis Nichols. Mickie was a member of Grand Ave Baptist Church of Fort Smith. She was a Librarian with the Fort Smith Book Mobile for over ten years. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, shopping and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters and loving husband, Hershel H. White, Jr.

Mickie is survived by a son Tim D. White, and his wife Pam of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Justin White and his wife Brittany of Fort Smith, Lindsey White of Fort Smith; three great grandchildren, Jaxdon, Lucas and Kolbie Heidelberg.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Monday, November 16, 2020 at Edwards Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fort Smith National Cemetery. Viewing will be 10 AM till 4 PM, Sunday, November 15, 2020, with family present from 2PM till 4PM at Edwards Funeral Home.

Active Pallbearers will be Justin White, Josh Heidelberg, Ricci Yarbrough, Chris Yarbrough, Johnny White and Tommy Crawford.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Nick Yarbrough.

The family request that memorial contributions be made to Grand Ave Baptist Church, 3900 Grand Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72904.

Services are entrusted to Edwards Funeral Home.
