John Blevins

John David Blevins, 74 of Van Buren, AR. Passed away on December 2, 2022. John was born on May 28, 1948, to John & Marie Blevins in Little Rock, AR. He grew up in Fort Smith with his sister Carol. After high school he worked with his dad doing carpentry. In 1978 he started working for Georgia-Pacific Dixie Cup and retired from there after 35+ years of dedication. He met Barbara at church as children, they married in 1973. John loved to go to the shows in Branson, traveling with his wife, and playing skip-bo. He was a life longer member of the Midland Heights United Methodist Church and the United Steel Workers Union.

John is survived by his wife of 49 years Barbara Blevins, sister Carol Soehlman, nephews Adam Shaver, Michael D. Soehlman, and niece Anne Marie Lairmore.

He is preceded in death by his parents John & Marie Blevins, mother and father-in-law Oneta & Thomas B. Shaver, brother-in-law Tommy Shaver, and nephew Brandon Shaver.
