Jimmy Ray Pogue, “The husband, the father, the grandfather and the great grandfather.” He loved his grandbabies more than anything in this world and fought a strong fight to have as many days possible with them after he got sick.
Jimmy was born June 21, 1946 in Fort Smith, AR to the late William L. Pogue, Sr. and Maude E. (Hines) Pogue. Jimmy went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2018 at a local hospital. He was a member of Community Bible Church and attended every Sunday. He loved his church and would be angry when one of his kids missed church.
Jimmy left behind a wife, Theresa Pogue; a son, Jimmy Pogue, Jr. and wife Audra; two daughters, Jennifer Darnell and her husband Ed and Kelli Pogue and wife Jaime; six grandchildren, Mercedes, Hunter, Madison, Makenzie, Jamison and Jayden; two step grandchildren, Dawson and Britain; one great grandson, Chasetyn; and one adopted great grandson. He left behind his mother-in-law, several brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no Memorial Service, wishes from Jimmy, but family and friends are welcome at his home to visit with the family.
Cremation was under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
