Jimmy Don Williams was born October 28, 1947 to JC and Helen Williams. He worked in the family construction business until his retirement in 2005. Jimmy Don was a Veteran who served his country honorably in the Vietnam War. Jimmy Don was a plain-spoken, hard-working man who was well thought of by a host of friends and acquaintances and very much loved by his family. He was a very loving and supportive father to his children and grandchildren. Jimmy Don is predeceased by his father JC Williams, and a son Jimmy Dale Williams
He is survived by his two daughters Michelle Williams of Greenwood, AR and Jeannie Salmons of Pocola, OK and seven grandchildren. He also leaves behind his mother Helen Williams of Pocola, OK five brothers; Bobby Joe, James (Buster), Tony, and Ricky all of Pocola, OK and Ronny of Russellville, AR and three sisters; Judy Stephens of Las Vegas, NV, Hilda Stratton and Margaret Mitchell both of Spiro, OK.
Funeral Services will be 12:30 P.M. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with Military Honors and burial to follow at the Ft. Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be Bobby Joe Williams, Jr., Tony Williams, Jr., Larry Don Williams, Ian Williams, Mason Salmons, and Mario Abrego. Honorary pallbearers will be Robby Williams, Taylor Ervin, Blake Stephens, Andrew Plowman, Johnathen Bowen and Issy Israel.
