James "Runt" Gaessler

James "Runt" Gaessler, 69, of Greenwood, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, in an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born September 30, 1943 in Fort Smith, AR to the late Harold and Elaine (Taylor) Gaessler. He was retired from Exide/GNB Industrial Battery Co. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Old Jenny Lind Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife Kathie, one daughter Stacey Chastain and husband Darren of Fort Smith, two sisters Sue Boone and husband Gene of Fort Smith and Patsy Price of Fort Smith, three grandchildren Garrett, Caroline and Ben Chastain, one niece, four nephews, one great niece, four great nephews and a multitude of friends. James was an avid fisherman and had been a member of various bass clubs in the Fort Smith area. He was Angler of the Year 2010 in the Hawghunters Bass Club. Pallbearers will be Steve Boone, Craig Boone, John Price III, Chris Price, Taylor Price and Larry Daggett.
