James Calvin Millsap

James Calvin Millsap, 87 Beloved husband and Father passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 in Greenwood. He was born on September 19, 1924 in Fort Smith to the late Melda (Moore) and Roy C. Millsap. He grew up in Fort Smith and joined the Navy in World War II and became a corpsman. After the war Jim returned to high school trained and began working as a laboratory and X-ray Technologist. In 1950 he married Troylene Ramsey who was also a technologist. In 1954 Jim accepted a position at Dr’s Clinic in Everett, Washington. His son Mark was born in 1955 and son Randy was born in 1958. He had a long medical career as a Medical Technologist working at various Dr’s Clinics, Snohomish County Blood Bank, and Arlington Family Medical Center. He was also in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, serving with the 57th FIS at Paine Air Force Base in Everett, Washington and served as a deacon at First Baptist Church in Everett. After his retirement, Jim and Troylene enjoyed traveling, cooking, and playing music. He enjoyed his grandchildren very much. In 1998 they moved to Fort Smith and in 2001 to Greenwood.

Graveside services with military honors will be 10:00 AM Friday, July 20th at the Fort Smith National Cemetery Pavilion. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Ft. Smith.

He is survived by his wife Troylene of the Home, two sons Randy Millsap and his wife Altamae of Everett, WA and Mark Millsap and his wife Carol Sue of Greenwood; five grandchildren: Stacey Slavey-Millsap and her husband Brad of Marysville, WA, Rachel Arnce and her husband Caleb of Bethell, WA, Mark Millsap, Jr. of Missoula, MT, Michelle Smith and Sarah Smith both of Lake Stevens WA. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
