Jack Charles Buell, 90, formerly of Fort Smith, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017. He was born March 6, 1927 in Shreveport, LA to Charley and Dorothy Weindel Buell. He was the owner of Buell Motor Company, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
Jack was also a member of Belle Point Masonic Lodge #20, where he served as Worshipful Master in both 1988 and 2006. He was also a Past Masters Club President in 1989, Fort Smith Shrine Club President in 1989, and received the Pillar of Solomon Award in April of 2005. He also was a member of the Scottish Rite and York Rite Bodies.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with a Masonic Service to conclude the ceremony. Interment with military honors will be at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Ann, of the home; two sons, Larry Buell and his wife Karen of Naperville, IL and Brian Buell and his wife Donna of Fayetteville; two brothers, Jay Buell and his wife Carolyn of Fort Smith and Jim Buell and his wife Suan of Austin, TX. He is also survived by four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jim Jones, Dave Arnold, Gene Warren, David Edwards, Charles Wingfield, James Lewis and David Whited. Honorary Pallbearers will be John, Justin, Matthew, Jay and Jim Buell.
Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
