Harold John Geels

Harold John Geels, 90 of Ft. Smith, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017. He was born November 6, 1926 in Prairie View, AR to the late Bernard and Loretta Geels. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. He was the owner of Geels Lumber Company and a Veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Ft. Smith Antique Automobile Club, and the Arkansas Valley Mustang Club, the Century Club, and the Dervish Club. He is preceded in death by his daughter Cindy Bagby, his sister Mary Louise Geels, and brother Bernie Geels.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM Friday, April 21, 2017 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Stone Chapel at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Harold is survived by his wife of 63 years, Josephine of the home, two sons; Jim Geels and his wife Angel of Ft. Smith, and Mike Geels and his wife Annette of Jackson, TN, one brother; Jerome Geels of Ft. Smith and five grandchildren; Elyse Geels, Ben Bagby, Bryce, Madison, and Annalee Geels.

Pallbearers will be; Ronnie Geels, Tim, Kevin, Mark, Brian, and John Verkamp.
