George Willard Hart, Jr. 69, of Fort Smith, died March 27, 2015 in Fort Smith. He was born April 24, 1945 in Wynne, AR to George Willard Hart, Sr and Bessie Laverne Tucker Hart. He was a retired employee of Acee and Highland Dairy after 25 years of service, and was a faithful member of the Rye Hill Baptist Church. Pa, as the family calls him, loved the Lord, his family, and his church family and friends. He prayed daily for them and the hurting world around him. He had a peace with the Lord that helped him make it through each day. Pa enjoyed spending time with his family, gospel music, writing music, NASCAR and smoking on the Smoker. He loved to attend Classic Car Shows and was proud to be an American who served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife Roma of the home; two daughters, Audrea and husband Michael Myers of Rogers, AR and Angela and husband Les Masterson of Springdale, AR; one sister, Patricia Hunt of Baltimore, Maryland; and three grandchildren, Brandon Masterson, Tanner and Cameron Myers.
Funeral service will be Monday, March 30, 2015 at 12:00 noon in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery of Fort Smith all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Michael Myers, Larry Biggs, Harold Kimbrell, Leroy Hurst, Quinton, and Wade Biggs. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Sunday School Class of Rye Hill Baptist Church
