Geneva White

Geneva White, 82 of Fort Smith passed away Monday, October 10, 2011. She was born on September 23, 1929 in Conway, AR to the late John and Ella Vernon. She was a retired bookkeeper for Secrest Printing and also for the Fifth Seasons Inn. She was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church where she had worked in the nursery for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George White; a son, Donald Thomas White; two sisters, Ruth Shockley Post and Earlene Shockley Willett; two brothers, Lawrence and Lecel Vernon.

Services will be 10:00 A.M Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.

She is survived by two sons, George “Sonny” White and his wife Esther of Fort Smith, John H. White and his wife Toni of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Miller Thomas White and Mandolyn Rae White, both of Fort Smith.

Family will greet friends from 5:00P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
