Laura Frances Roberts, 87, of Muldrow, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 in a Pocola nursing home. She was born on January 12, 1935 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to the late Thomas and Effie (Smith) Giesler. She attended the Church of the Nazarene in Muldrow. She was a member of Electa Chapter #11 Order of the Eastern Star in Muldrow.
Frances was a nurse at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith and a Muldrow High School graduate. She married Herman Roberts on June 26, 1954 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, he preceded her in death on December 15, 2004 in Fort Smith. Also preceding her in death is a sister, Margaret Thompson; three brothers, Jack Giesler, Tommy Giesler and Paul Giesler; two sister-in-laws, Mildred Giesler and Sue Giesler and a brother-in-law, Al Thompson.
She is survived by a sister, Patricia Giesler and a brother, Robert Giesler (Peggy), both of Oklahoma City, several nieces and nephews, along with numerous other friends and family.
Pallbearers will be Darin Giesler, Richard McGehee, Kris McGehee, Tim Greene and Trenton Greene.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at the Church of the Nazarene in Muldrow, Oklahoma with interment to follow at Muldrow Memory Garden Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Public viewing will be from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
