Frances Anne Baker

Frances Anne Whitfield Moore Baker, 79, of Alma, AR. Passed away Monday, October 16, 2023, at home after a long battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Francis E. Baker. Also, her parents, sister and brother. She is survived by her former husband/father of her children, Robin Moore of Van Buren, AR., Her Daughter/Son in law, Dana and Steve Gilbert of Alma, AR., Son/Daughter in law, C.R. and Julie Moore of Black Mountain, NC., Son/Daughter in law, Mark and Diane Baker of Van Buren, AR. Grandsons Wyatt (and Zane Gilbert and Granddaughter Morgan Lockwood and her husband Lance, She worked at the Boston Store downtown and at Central Mall. She then worked at Auto Parts and Tire for 30+ years. But, her favorite job was being the church secretary for St. Paul Methodist Church for the last 15 years. We lovingly called her the “Church Lady”. She was a spectacular woman. Visitation will be Monday Oct. 23, 2023, in Fort Smith at Edwards Funeral Home between 5-7pm. Service will be Tuesday, Oct 24, 2023, in Fort Smith, at St. Paul Methodist Church on Grand Avenue at 11am.
