Eva Renee Hobbs

Eva Renee Hobbs, 61 of Spiro, OK, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024. She was born on February 14, 1963 in Vivian, LA, to the late Newton Hobbs and Wanda Massey Hobbs. Renee was a nurse for Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith, AR. She was an excellent nurse, providing the best of care to her patients. She attended Unite Church in Spiro. Renee loved fishing, whether it be on a pond, lake, river, or anywhere her line would take a bite, she was 10 foot tall and bulletproof. Most of all, Renee loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was so proud of them. Renee was a good-hearted person, she would give you the shirt off her back. She will always be loved and cherished by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Renee was preceded in death by her sister, Edith Turquince Hobbs, and her brother-in-law, Charles Ridener.

She is survived by her husband, Oma (Jay) Viles; two daughters, Erika Jewel Loyd (Victor) of Bokoshe, OK and Sheri Renee Smith (Brad) of Little Rock, AR; a son, Larry Eugene Hanna, III of Spiro, OK; two stepdaughters, Rashell Dawn Viles of Sacramento, CA and Michelle Nicole Leonard (Jeff) of Fort Smith, AR; a stepson, Jayson Alexander Viles of Reno, NV and two sisters, Deborah Ridener of Greenwood, AR and Denice O’Dell (John) of Hughes Springs, TX; two grandchildren, Ceslie Loyd of Dallas, TX and Victor Kage Loyd of Bokoshe, OK; Seven step- grandchildren, Devona, DeZzelle, DeAngelo, Daniella James of Sacramento, CA; Violah and Athan Dodson of Bentonville, AR; Jaxson Leonard of Fort Smith, AR.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith, AR.
