Eric Allen Fitting, 70, Of Fort Smith, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022. He was born on May 29, 1952 in Fort Smith to the late Clair Charles and Frances Virginia (Gean) Fitting. Eric, affectionately known by many as “Big E,” was an Eagle Scout and received bachelor degrees in accounting and history from Arkansas Tech University. He was retired from Whirlpool and a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Smith.
His Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2023 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, cremation arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by three brothers, Charles Fitting (Gay), Gean Fitting, Lawrence Fitting (Mary), and his former wife of 26 years, Jeannie Fitting, all of Fort Smith. He is also survived by several nephews and a niece.
